What Do I Need To Receive A Podcast?
- You will need a connection to the Internet (duh!).
- You will need a Podcast Aggregator (Podcatcher) such as iTunes or iPodder.

- If you want to transfer audio to your MP3 player you will need the audio management software that came with your MP3 player to transfer the Podcast to it.
How Does It Work?
Rock 100.5 will make available selected audio features in MP3 format which a Podcatcher, will download to your computer and store on your hard drive. You may then listen using Windows Media Player from your desktop or laptop computer or have the audio feature (Podcast) transferred to your personal MP3 player so you can take the audio with you. This allows you to become "untethered" from your desktop or laptop computer. You'll be able to listen when and where you please without requiring an Internet connection.
Note: You will need to add the Rock 100.5 Podcast station to your Podcatcher in order to begin receiving the downloads.
How Is Podcasting Different From Listening Online?
Podcasting differs from broadcasting and webcasting in how content is transmitted; instead of a central audio stream, listeners download audio files automatically in MP3 format to their computer so they can listen at any time or place.
Is Podcasting Free?
Yes Podcasts are FREE! There is no charge for downloading a Podcast from Rock 100.5. Of course you'll have to supply your own computer, connection, MP3 player, etc.
