If anyone is hungry for the drama of the next FYRE FESTIVAL, here’s some red meat for you:  Things are NOT going well for Woodstock 50.

Yesterday, the festival’s primary investors, Dentsu Aegis Network, released a statement that pretty clearly stated that the festival was NOT gonna happen.

It said, quote, “Despite our tremendous investment of time, effort and commitment, we don’t believe the production of the festival can be executed as an event worthy of the Woodstock Brand name while also ensuring the health and safety of the artists, partners and attendees . . .

“As a result . . . [we’ve] decided to cancel the festival.”  That sounds pretty cut and dried . . . or is it?

Even though the money is gone, the organizers are STILL moving forward.  Somehow.

They released a statement saying they are “committed” to continue with the event, and, quote, “[We] intend to bring on new partners . . . The bottom line is, there is going to be a [Woodstock festival], as there must be, and it’s going to be a blast.”

For what it’s worth, they previously postponed the date tickets go on sale . . . and have already lost The Black Keys, who backed out due to a “scheduling conflict.”  (Have the organizers NOT seen one of those Fyre Festival documentaries?)
