You may have scoffed at the price of a pair of tickets to see Foo Fighters before football this past weekend, but all I can say is that you get what you pay for. DirecTV somehow miraculously turned Atlantic Station into Foo Fighters stomping grounds with a 2 month build of the massive venue, encompassing some 4,000 people.
Dave Grohl had himself a night, as he always does, playing off the crowd and friends he brought on stage. Of course, I couldn’t hold it any longer and bailed for the bathroom just before Black Sabbath’s War Pigs blasted through the speakers. Surprise! Tom Morello, Perry Farrell, and Zac Brown nailed it. Bonus! Roger Taylor got on the kit for a rendition of Queen’s “Under Pressure” as Taylor Hawkins did his best Freddie Mercury performance.
Watch all of the action you missed below. And repeat.
